@RyKnocks Well, the yellow bar is still relevant depending on how many hot laps you're planning on doing, in case you sleep on it and don't recharge enough for another lap.
And on Career and My Team modes I guess you'd be adding wear to the many ERS components if you keep it on hotlap even when you're not on a flying lap? It's been a while, I don't remember what the wear scales with for them.

So I guess my initial feedback still stands. Since there’s only two modes in qualifying, None or Hotlap, I wish it was as simple as pressing the overtake button to switch between the two.

You can bind a button for ERS modes since... Haha I actually don't even remember playing a F1 game where you couldn't 😂
It's in the settings. Scroll down on the key bindings section.
I always had buttons mapped to ERS, brake bias, and differential on my controller. Dropped ERS after F1 2020 or 2021 because didn't find it a hassle to go through the MFD after the ERS was simplified.Ahh thanks for that!!
