Only EA influence is MONETIZATION. Just look at the season pass. Where you normally would get around 10000 pitcoin on the free pass with less levels, now they give you 2500 in total on 50! Levels.
This part isn't actually true. From the first year of Podium Pass (F1 2020) it has never been possible to earn enough pitcoins from the free tier to buy VIP access for the next. The model has always been that to be self-funding you'd need to buy VIP access to the first Podium Pass season to then be able to earn enough Pitcoins to buy VIP access to the following season, etc. I forget now whether the free/VIP Pitcoin availability was 2500/7500 or something else but at best is was 5000/5000 and definitely not 10000/0.

What I will say I don't know is whether it now takes more gameplay hours to earn all the Pitcoins in a particular series or not, as I didn't play during series 1 enough to see what it took to max this out.
- 2 years ago@Ultrasonic_77 Its easily done by doing very short F1 World races, they give you about 1750xp when winning the race even 5 lap races which is about a third of level 50 or so and much more on lower levels how much longer that is than the quick ways of previous games i dunno but it definitely isnt way too long
