This is insane…

Over a week now and still no word on when equal cars will be fixed. This wouldn’t have happened in the first place if these patches were tested properly before release. Embarrassing to say the least.

I think that one of the more prominent members of this forum should contact gaming journalists and let them know what's happening around here and EA's typical "we don't care about our customers" response.
You guys want this crap to change? EA has to lose even more money - that's the only driving force behind any decision they make.

Well I don't think that's needed. Read here https://esports.gazzetta.it/gaming/novita/20-09-2023/f1-23ultima-patch-infuriare-giocatori-92523

I translated the article to English for anyone who wants to read it.
When it comes to video games and updates, the main theme is often not so much the problems that are fixed, but the new ones that are introduced. F1 23 players know this well and, after installing update 1.12 in the last few hours, they found themselves with some of their most precious progress completely messed up. Here's what happened, while waiting for Codemasters to return to the topic to put a welcome patch on it. The video review of F1 23 F1 23 1.2, TWO OLD/NEW PROBLEMS — Comment first By installing the new F1 23 patch, players immediately noticed a problem: the new version of the game effectively deleted all custom controls. And so, those who had created their own setup in terms of controls (which is very common with racing games) had to do it all over again, or settle for the default controls. Furthermore, in a smaller number of cases, a bug was restored which had even seen the suspension of professional tournaments: the one where the game did not balance the performance of the cars online, but maintained the starting values even in multiplayer competitions. That is to say, anyone who takes a Red Bull has a much better chance of winning than a Williams. Curiously, the problem had already been corrected, and it is not clear why, at least for some, it has returned to knock on the door of virtual pilots. I thought the change was gone, but instead it was just the button mapping that had returned to default values! Very annoying!". To date, the developers have not yet added this glitch to the list of known problems, and it is not certain that they will do so: the reset could only have depended on the installation of a new version of F1 23, so it could even be repeated during installation of new versions in the future.
