Don't know if anybody already posted it, but looks like there's a bug when you change strategy...let's suppose game offers you a MEDIUM-SOFT strategy. If you select that strategy and then modify it in, let's say, MEDIUM-HARD, you visually get a HARD tyre but the tyre degradation is still the SOFT one...this is what happened to a few players in different online lobbies..
Is it me or have XP payouts halved since the start of the latest Podium Pass?
It's taking me ages to level up now compared to the previous one despite actually playing more regularly. My first thought is that this is another attempt to force people to play more day on day (whatever benefit that gives EA, I don't know - perhaps give the impression that the game is more popular on paper than it actually is?), in the same way as with the constant F1 World rewards and challenges.
Actually, just thought - could be so people feel forced to purchase the XP boost things, presumably weren't selling before. Ugh, yeah, could be that. This game is giving me more and more of a bad feeling the more I play it.
Only positive I can take from it after 4 months is the improved handling (with 160% steering rate anyway), although it's still impossible for me - and any other cars - to lock up the tyres. I can go full brakes and I just slow right down as if I've got anti-lock enabled but I'm using no assists.
Meh.
Correction: I can lock up, but there's no smoke when it happens, so I guess I didn't realise it was happening. AI cars still don't lock up though.
Another correction: Seeing XP boosts are purchased with Pitcoin, but if you want to complete the Podium Pass quickly (in my case, I'm still only at level 24 out of 50 with only a few days to go - impossible to complete), then you get the XP boost. And if you don't have the 2000 pitcoin to get it with? Then you have to pay money to get the extra pitcoin.
And while F1 World is just a completely dead section of the game for me now, I also remember Alex Gillon saying outright days before the game's release "there's no way in the game to pay money to level up your F1 World car quicker". Now upon realising this, that just isn't true - especially now that XP payouts seem to have halved, but it's always been there. Because along with all the helmets and suits, there are also F1 World tech bonuses every couple of Podium Pass levels. So yes, there is a way to pay cash to improve your F1 World car quicker.
....Unless I'm missing something, lol.
