@AfrikanxlYou might be right however they can still patch it in later, it’s not to late. they could have out sourced psvr support to another studio (they did it before) what i find weird is that with F1 ‘22 when asked about psvr2 support on a later stadium they said “at the moment there are no plans but never say never” now with F1 ‘23 it’s just NO. As for WRC i’m not a big rally fan so i most likely won’t buy that either way
I don't think anything has changed. the 'never say never' type of comments referred to PSVR2 implementation coming in future games not during the F1 22 lifecycle. Also note there has been no official 'no' this year, just people speculating but I strongly suspect this just remains a possibility for future titles. Note that it's inherent for makers of annual titles to want a list of new feature that they can highlight with each new game, so if PSVR2 support isn't in F1 23 at launch then, to me, this makes it extremely unlikely that they'll add it post-launch. The only time major features have been added in this way that I'm aware of is where they'd be planned to be there at launch but had to be delayed. This was the case with cross-play for example.

@ha6hk3w77mwjF1 life was pathetic to be sure. But it wasn’t nothing more than an attempt to generate mo money by selling skins. Nothing technical about it other than a few artists. Plus the whole clothing thing was already being designed for NFS Unbound which was always its main purpose. I think they just tried to shoehorn it in with F1 to see if it stuck…. Sofas etc don’t take up time and resources being tested etc
- 2 years ago@ScarDuck14 Supercars do, building the whole life part does. Don’t forget we are not talking about building vr from scratch, they allready have it just port it and finetune for psvr

Ok as this is just going round and round. I won’t reply anymore. Yes PSVR2 would be awesome in the game. But it’s not. And pretty sure it won’t be until next year. Doesn’t matter if EA missed the boat this year. They will just as easily catch the next one with out much inconvenience to them.
- 2 years ago@ScarDuck14 I’m 100% with you on that. I’m 99.9% sure it won’t happen this year. I’m not saying EA missed the boat or any of that, i’m pretty sure the game will sell pretty much in line with other titles. All i wanted to say is “i don’t get why psvr is skipped” and every reason people give, isn’t realy logical exept for maybe the cost for development, but it’s just porting how much can it cost compared to life for example
- ScarDuck142 years agoLegend@ha6hk3w77mwj Ok one last time😂
I think a lot of the reason is for decades VR had been hailed as the next big thing and the future. But just like 3D TV it’s just failed to gain any meaningful traction. So companies are reluctant to fully invest in it and adopting the wait and see approach. - 2 years ago@ScarDuck14 I get what you’re saying but in the case of F1 you are wrong. They have invested in it and made it fully working in vr.
- ScarDuck142 years agoLegend@ha6hk3w77mwj Fully working? Ok I’m wrong 🙄

Well... No VR support for F1 this year...
It is like it is.
To me it is really strange from EA. I'm pretty sure, that 95% PSVR2 owners racing sim fans will miss then F1 23. At least me and my friends, who own PSVR2, we decided to skip F1 23.
And even more - EA loses quite a lot buyers PLUS they lose much more! Like I said in one earlier post - right now theres no "decent" racing games for PSVR2 (except GT7)... And theres lack of other VR genres too... I'm pretty sure, that right now there are plenty buyers, who will definitely buy F1 23, if it supports VR, even if they normally don't play racing games... Right now is perfect time to ATTRACT players to racing sims... And to be first, it's huge "a head start"...
Year after, and I'm pretty sure, that then there are hundred games for PSVR2, including some racing games... And after year, PVSR2 owners are much "LESS HUNGRY".
Strange from EA.
Anywy... It is like it is... Too bad, but well. Maybe next year.
- 2 years ago@ScarDuck14 Sure for PC it's 10 000 times more complicated to make "bugfree" game...
All machines uses different drivers, GPUs, CPUs, memorys, hard drives, etc etc etc... To run smoothly on all these combinations is ridicilously "hard"...
PS5 - ony machine, one GPU, one CPU... - ScarDuck142 years agoLegend
@Toy4584Yes Ive argued the point many times that games on console shouldn’t have bugs as if it works on one it should work on all.. Whereas figuratively speaking no 2 pcs are the same.
But to say it fully works on PC is wrong. - 2 years ago@ScarDuck14 I never said it runs smooth😂 but you know what i mean

@Ultrasonic_77There has been a official no this year from EAWhere? It's not been mentioned in any of the pre-launch info. but I've seen nothing more than this. Have you? Also I was referring to your 'no' as distinct to 'never say never', i.e. referring to future titles.
- 2 years agoSince F1 23 was announced, EA has confirmed to UploadVR that F1 23 will only be playable in VR on PC, with no plans for PSVR2 support.
