I'm getting the impression that PC VR support is going to still be patchy in F123 and this is the reason it's not coming to PSVR2. So much for the two year development cycle.
Maybe the game engine can't cope well with VR who knows. I guess we will wait and see but there's not much talk about VR on YouTube about it when there are a handful of videos discussing the improved handling model. It all seems a bit fishy.
Handling model is more important to gamers. Even the most popular off YouTubers with high end sim rigs are still not using VR.. why isn’t Super GT using PSVR2… He has it… but he still prefers not to use it.
VR is still very Niche. And as I’ve said before. It’s been around for decades but still hasn’t gained traction. It only appeals to the likes of you few guys.
Not fishy at all.
- 2 years ago@ScarDuck14 That’s nog realy treu, a lot of youtubers (kie25, rory, casual racing gamer) they all use vr just not on stream cause they can’t interact with the chat in vr.
But i think the point is not wheter F1 supports vr or not the point is why only on one platform- ScarDuck142 years agoLegend@ha6hk3w77mwj Cause it’s still niche.
But like another poster said you need to post your petition in other places. 60ish signatures after a week isn’t going to get anyone’s attention
Look I think the possibilities for VR are more than I can imagine. But still it’s not for me.
I’ve put in thousands upon thousands of hours into this franchise and quite happy with my humble tv.
Playing games for most Is a casual social thing. Really hard to interact (your words) with your mates sitting next to you when you have a vr set on- 2 years ago@ScarDuck14 I did, but if people just say it’s not gonna happen but don’t sign than there is nothing i can do
- 2 years ago@ScarDuck14 Whilst I appreciate your point of view there are certain parts of the game I couldn't care less about either such as multiplayer. I however realise that for many people that's the main reason they buy the game so expect it to be in there to cater to everyone and so should PVR2 support. I would hazard a guess VR support on console would be a far bigger feature than F1 world or whatever its called that nobody cares about.
For many people being in VR and feeling like you are there is their most sought after feature probably after the gameplay being solid. Lots of people have dreamed of the moment they can race F1 cars in VR since gaming was in its infancy and we finally get the tech to do it and they whimp out. The amazing feedback with GT7 VR just goes to show the appetite is stronger in mainstream gaming than the petition or forums here would have you believe where only a few people would bother to look it up.
Basically its a feature they can't nickle and dime the customer with but failed to realise in their short-sightedness it would have attracted tens of thousands of new players all coughing up £60 to give it a go like they did with gran turismo.- Ultrasonic_772 years agoHero

This has nothing to do with VR but saying that nobody cares about this seems a huge stretch to me, and personally I'm interested to try this. It's nothing like F1 Life where this was far more true.

Everyone who plays multiplayer will care about F1 World.
