Just wanna say: please add support to PSVR 2 on F1 23 🙏🙏
Thanks
It would be good if this happened but my strong guess is that it won't. Note that when F1 22 came out the devs clearly stated that they had no plans to bring VR to console, and F1 23 will have been mid-way through its development at the time.
VR has not exactly been a huge success on PC this year from what I can tell, due to its performance. Although arguably optimising for PS5 with PSVR2 will be more straightforward as it is a single known hardware configuration.
It will be interesting to see how VR goes on GT7.
Yeah and I honestly understand why it was not a a commercial success VR in PC. I think is still too expensive to buy a PC that will run 4k VR smoothly. I am one of those that buy F1 but was waiting for the right time to jump in VR, which I believe is happening now with PSVR2.
And I tell you something: I bet PSVR2 will be the first VR headset for a loot of people (including myself, that just got it on pre order). The value for money is insane and I can't wait to play GT 7 on it.
Furthermore, I believe the conversion rate of how many people with a PSVR2 that will buy GT7 will be huge and I if F1 23 gets support, the conversion would be just as good. If you have a PSVR2 and have a minimal interest for racing, is a must have.
Also, since there was already a VR implementation for PC, not sure how difficult would be to do implement it. I just really really hope that EA releases this year version with support to PSVR 2.
I’d be all in on this 100000%. I already play on PS5 and am planning on getting PSVR2 for GT7. Pleaseeee make it happen!
I really hope they do as I plan to stop playing it all together and switching to GT7 just for the VR experience. I already own a good wheel and Sim seat and playing on a single screen has been pretty terrible so going VR is the only option for proper console sim racing. So far the GT7 demo reviews seem positive, I am super excited for my headset to arrive next week!
I can't imagine them NOT including a PSVR2 support in F1 2023. F1 is in every way a high end, futuristic tech sport and so the same should apply for the videogame version of the sport.
PSVR2 has potential to forever change the way many videogames are played and Racing games are VERY suitable for the tech, so if Codemasters decides to NOT include it I'd be very surprised. I plan to buy PSVR2 soon and if F1 2023 don't have support then I'll skip F1 23 and buy GT7 instead.
When can we expect any news on F1 2023? I don't remember when they realeased info last year...

Usually April I think.
I bet you 50 Pitcoins that F1 23 won't have PSVR2 support as per my earlier post, but I'd love to be proved wrong for those who would want this.
- mariohomoh2 years agoRetired Hero@coopa300 GT7 is a good game already and it's the best shot we'll have to gauge how capable the PSVR2 can be. There are a number of different implementations of VR, some games being notoriously more demanding than others, so let's see.
I'm fully with @Ultrasonic_77 on this one though. I don't see Codemasters as having the muscle power to work out a good VR application on console since they haven't even delivered a polished experience on PC. I'm not confident there's enough development overlap between VR on PC and an hypothetical PSVR2 application to justify they tackling both projects simultaneously. Well PSVR 2 is out and GT7 is amazing in VR!!!. A bit underwhelmed by the graphics but it is a huge upgrade from the first PSVR. The way they pulled it off with GT7 I don't see why EA/Codemasters can't do the same if not better. Would even be cool if they brought back gameface so you can have your actual likeness in the game.
- @MagalhaVoa I am not getting F1 23 unless it supports psvr2. It’s that simple. GT7 is killing in VR currently
I played GT7 on PSVR2 this weekend and wow, its my first time playing VR so its been life changing(in a gaming sense)
Really hope f1 23 or 24 down the road support it.
