F1 23 Ranked Multiplayer - Questions

From what I've seen so far the game looks great, what I am still not sure on is how ranked multiplayer will work.  I ask this because multiplayer is all I'm interested in putting significant time into.

So, if I understand correctly, ranked multiplayer will not use the F1 World car you have built, but all cars will be on equal performance?  Is the F1 World car just for unranked multiplayer?

I'm sure others have the same question but I couldn't find a good answer on Google.
