FFB BUG FIXED ON PC for Thrustmaster wheels (only?) - F1® 23 - Patch 1.07
Having problems with the force feedback since monday's patch ?
A lot of drivers are experiencing force feedback being 100% gone in most modes of the game, making it very frustrating and absoltely unplayable. How did we came to the point where in today's industry, devs publish games where such vital functions of their gameplay actually are'nt functionning? They dare call this game "competitive" and run an official esports series!
I'm shocked by these clowns developing at Codemasters. They are unable to deliver a roadworthy product despite being a triple A licensed product, and they proved it multiple times through the years. Simracing with no force feedback on your wheel is like playing Call of Duty with a broken joystick.
The solution who worked for me
If you're using Thrustmaster wheels, you can skip to the next section where the procedure is explained step by step. If you're using devices from other brands such as Fanatec, Moza or any other, read this.
- From F1 23, press Alt+Tab to switch to another window (does'nt matter which one)
- Open your device settings software (not the game settings)
- What you are looking for is a way to get a short timed sample of the strengh of your current FFB settings.
- Do one FFB test
- Back to the game, force feedback may finally work again.
Please let anybody else know if it worked for you or not, what wheel you are using and any other details that you consider important.
Procedure if you're using Thrustmaster products :
- Open Thrustmaster Control panel
- Select your device and open properties
- Start the game
- Alt+Tab from the game to the properties
- Click on "Test FFB"
- Back to the game, force feedback should finally work
