@matty0blobberReturning the Q3 exclusive soft tyres is in the regulations of the sport for a long time. In the game, I'm pretty sure it's at least in one of those mini tutorials accessible via the menus.
Even so I still think its bugged cause you can miss Q2 and sometimes it won't let you use the Q2 softs in race and only the old Q1 tyres.

It's in the tutorials. And with how verbose Marc is, I wouldn't be surprised if he happens to mention the Q3 tyres being returned at the end of the session too.
This qualifying ruleset has been in force since what, 2014?
Anyway, yeah the game should make good job of introducing newbies to the F1 world. If you feel like it not making the tutorials + engineer + the UI marking the Q3 reserved softs as mandatory didn't make this 2014 qualifying format ruleset accessible enough for you, here's the Game Suggestions board:

@mariohomohFirst off its not in the tutorials and it doesn't specify what that little explanation symbol means on the q3 tyre on the actual tyre select screen, I know what it means but you can't assume everyone does simply because you know, that's my point. It needs to be more obvious.
Secondly you can't compare a basic rule like offside which is known worldwide and hasn't changed to an ever changing tyre regulation, dumb/odd comparison imo.
Even after all that the strategy screen doesn't let you cycle through all the sets of softs you have and only gives you one of the oldest or the worst set you've qualified on.
Stop being a snob.
