I just drove a career season 1 race in Australia in Mclaren and i feel the same. I had my normal setup that i picked up from YT or timetrial, wings are something like 30-25 and i even lowered the wings about 5 clicks both fronty and rear. AI still pass me like they had DRS when they didn't and i tried to burn ERS. I think the problem is that AI is using low downforce higher topspeed setup which AI has like 15-20 wings comapred to custom setups that have around 10 clicks more wing front and rear. It is really hard to race with low wings around Australia.

In the last patch I think Alex Gillon said they reduced Ai car’s weight to increase difficulty. How true that is I don’t knows.

Racing against the AI is unplayable at the moment, I just overtaken by DeVries who had a broken front wing on the main straight of Bahrain.
I always think tyre wear is disproportionate as well....I can start feeling tyre wear on the mediums about 8 laps in and the AI just go around like a train on tracks without any mistakes until their time to pit.
I can lower the difficulty but then I would be overtaking many cars easily at the start and the first few laps.
I'm not playing this now until it is patched. Waste of money !!

Either there's another way of controlling weight specific to difficulty, in which case I shouldn't be noticing any quick AI, or they've used the XMLs and reduced weight for everyone, which in turn could also cause the other (now officially denied) issue of the car feeling like it's on ice through low speed corners with a controller.
Hmmmmmmmmm....- ScarDuck143 years agoLegend@s00zster Can’t remember which video but Alex mentions it on one of his videos.
