Related, but not related but the amount of layoffs from game developers is frankly quite depressing. After the pandemic, the industry seemed to be bullet proof but mass redundancies everywhere at the moment is awful to see. Could we see redundancies at Codemasters? EA have been shifting personnel around and F1 23 hasn't been well received in terms of feedback and maybe even in sales targets.
@TotosHeadphonesCodemasters? We can take a peek here and there in platforms like Glassdoor, but my hunch is that it's another Theseus's ship.
Regarding the wide industry, we saw a spike in activity in the COVID times and I guess a good chunk of that lazy money decided to flow down that pipe. And it is not like it became a bubble, but once the market resettled all those stakeholders are following suit.
Edit: haha here's what our @ScarDuck14 @ here is hinting at 😂
The SEC filing is also noteworthy if you can Ctrl + F your way down it.

@TotosHeadphones it's all doubling down on live services and noting how F1 is underperforming.
Regarding the industry wide discussion, this is appropriate and relevant:
For the unaware, Second Wind are all The Escapist expats.
The Escapist got shortsighted and pushed too hard for growth over quality. They fired their main editor and a few other employees. Everyone else from the video department resigned out of solidarity.
In the very next day they debuted Second Wind.

So, we were talking about redundancies and Codemasters have been hit by some too today. Looks like a large portion of the QA team have been let go
