@TotosHeadphones it's all doubling down on live services and noting how F1 is underperforming.
Regarding the industry wide discussion, this is appropriate and relevant:
For the unaware, Second Wind are all The Escapist expats.
The Escapist got shortsighted and pushed too hard for growth over quality. They fired their main editor and a few other employees. Everyone else from the video department resigned out of solidarity.
In the very next day they debuted Second Wind.
So, we were talking about redundancies and Codemasters have been hit by some too today. Looks like a large portion of the QA team have been let go

We've got a prestigious, long-running code in this franchise. It's been honed to perfection over the years. A code so finely tuned, it's practically singing by itself... all the wrong notes.
Bright future ahead. Quite literally, given the newfound budget for extra lamps and shiny season pass cosmetics. - ScarDuck142 years agoLegend
Explains why I havnt been promoted to Awesome Anti-hero 😁 Obviously they will be looking to me to handle all QA from now on💪😂. But I know my value and I’m worth more than the current amount of free games Im gifted… I’ll expect the SimRig that I’ve been pestering for 😂.
I will say this: during beta we champions were able to report bugs directly to QA. Think I reported half dozen, How many off those bugs do you think got fixed? 🙄
- TotosHeadphones2 years agoSeasoned Ace@mariohomoh It would be suicide to start sacking staff that are working on the current F1 24 but you could hazard a guess that there'd be further lay offs after the release.
