I totally agree with you guys, but one problem is many of the older drivers does not even start at their highest potential and keeps growing for like 3 seasons before they even have a decline.
For example Hamilton in F1 22 I think started with around 93 or 94 pace but then he grows to I think 96 or 97 before he starts to decline again. For me I find this quite unrealistic and would rather have him start a little higher, and slowly decline 1 or 2 points of pace in like 3 seasons (or stay at the same level) before having a steeper decline. (I personally think racecraft and awareness should decrease less than pace, awareness might even increase for a while longer as you age while your pace starts declining)
They way they go about the driver attributes is pointer 1 and 2 tells which
attribute they have at season 1. Pointer 3 is sort of the mid career and often but not always where the attribute is at it's peak (It's usually between season 3-7) and pointer 4 and 5 is season 10. (some drivers don't reach their peak before season 10)
Like other have said what I want the personell upgrades to do, make their peak higher and also maybe make them be able to reach their peak earlier. (Like 1 season earlier for each facility upgrade)
I would still not want it to be by 15 points though because it sort of still eventually nullifies driver attributes if it's as big as 15 points higher peak.
I also would suggest an age modifier to how much a driver could benefit from facilities and increased potential. I mean their age when the career starts. So drivers aged 30+ get no bonus from facilities, driver's between 24-29 (or maybe 25-29) gets +1-2-3 potential for each facility upgrade and drivers 23 or younger gets +2-4-6 to their potential.
Or actually how long they have been in F1 would be a better measurement of who was able to benefit from facility upgrades. Let's say drivers who've had either 1-2 years or 1-3 years in F1 would have the 2-4-6 bonus and drivers with 3-4 or 4-6 years would have the 1-2-3 bonus. And if they'd been longer than 6 years they would get no benefit from personell upgrades.
