Between that and the fact that after season one where the car has a performance delta of 140 points and in the second season is at best 90 points with 6-8 card actually squeezed in 30-40 points range (and the pilot of those car all capped at 100)
@pekish79 At the moment the only way to fix this issue is to play on PC, thanks to a kind soul in the modding community we could freely modified drivers' stats and growth cycle.
Atm I'm planning to reduce the current driver stats to the point where even with max facilities could not max out their ratings, let's see if that would made them too slow since the AI this year is already somewhat weak even at 110.

So I am posting my latest experience with MYTEAM
2 Season - ONLY 10 races (100% race) to try to advance slower, less practice program, less RD
player RD - REDUCED / ai RD - STANDARD
player XP - REDUCED / ai XP - STANDARD
player TEAM XP - REDUCED / ai TEAM XP - STANDARD
player MONEY - REDUCED (on the first day of the first season to avoid bugs. See my post about it) / ai MONEY - STANDARD
Special RULE
* MAX 2 practice programs per race (total 20 practice programs/year)
It may have felt a little underwhelming the first year (but I liked the struggle of the first year). as it looked like I couldn't catch up with other cars (even if the gap between best and worst was closing from Delta 130 performance to Delta 70 performance)
but already halfway through the 2nd year, I had the best car! And that was trying my best to handicap my points. And even more sad, the delta performance of the car by the end of the second year was 50 points!
If you add this to 8-10 pilots being 100 capped because of the silly bonus, it gets really boring and flat!
@pekish79 I myself have had encounter progression being too quick the last couple of years, that's why (on PC) I lowered the R&D generate rate by at least 50%-75% on most of my playthrough, which made it almost impossible to max out a car at any point of the 10 seasons.
@Apophis-STR Lol I saw that mod on RD and thought "Huh, this could be a neat little fix, wonder if I'll ever need it." Sure enough, this thread pops up and I am now downloading said mod. The mod community really are Codemasters' caretakers at this point. Fire every single one of them and let the community develop the game.
I asked this on another thread but since it's being discussed here, I'll try it again. Assuming I have a baseline difficulty I'm comfortable with in GP mode, how much should I lower it to compensate for the stats boost in career mode? As anyone tried this approach?
I wouldn't lower it; make a test run of a 10-race season (pick the 10 races you feel are your standard relationship with AI level) 5 lap race and one-shoot qualif
this is the best way to figure it out.
Starting already with a 23 race full and full and hoping to guess the ai level of difficulty is a waste of time nothing like trying it yourself and since you have a starting point use that as first test and figure it out after a very short first season.
