@dotazured Also look at the furore over one of the E-Sport contestants over suspected 'Traction Control' assist. People believe assists make you faster and F1 is a thousandths of a second business.

If 'Traction Control' keeps you on track, how much time did you just gain? 12 seconds? 3 second? did it stop your writing off your car into the wall? Do you think it is fair for a non-assisted driver to be compared to one that uses assists?
Also Racing line is fine if you’re not familiar with tracks. However the racing line does not utilise the entire width off the track. You only have to watch any F1 E-Sports, PSGL or WOR race to see the lines the Elite racers use. Also the racing line only uses your speed to tell you when to brake. It’s much faster knowing your braking points for every corner.

Of course it is fine to use Driving Line if you need it, just don't compare your results to mine as I don't use assists.

It's dynamic and reacts to your speed, tyre wear, weather conditions, etc. Outside of TT (which I don't really do), my braking point in to a corner changes every lap as a race evolves. I have to work this out on the fly, whereas someone using the line has a visual tool to help them lap after lap. It's the biggest assist for sure.

Try going to a race that is now Raining Dynamically, did you get a chance to learn how to drive in TT with setups from E-Sports drivers... Good luck Wet Time Trials are now gone, just another barb into the purist racers heart.
But, don't worry we want you to participate with 3D racing line, we will show you when to brake in Ranked Online MP, don't worry you are a much better driver than those who spent hours learning to find driving markers in the rain.
Brake... now!... how does that feel to find the perfect braking spot?

@Wollcott As you seem well aware, the 3D driving line is not the optimal driving line. It is just there to help get you on track and receive some participation trophies. They have also taken away the ability this year to see the E-Sport driver's telemetry, unless they default to making public their telemetry, God forbid, you want to learn from the best in the business. Just play golf and compete against your own AI level.
