Re: Edited On Screen Display Layout Does Not Save

Hey @still_guns,

Could you double-check that you edited the OSD for Time Trial and not for the race layout?
You can switch different OSD schemes by pressing R3 or the button that is designated for that on your machine. There should be a help instruction on the bottom of your screen which should tell you what OSD you are currently changing.

I did change to time trial. I also filtered to Normal which is the F1 HUD. As soon as I returned to normal gameplay, the changes were reverted. Restarting the game has had no effect.

    Hey @still_guns,

I double-checked this, and it seems only to be the UI element that displays the pace / Gears etc.

I tried to move other elements and that seems to work. I will pass your video to the team!

I can also confirm that this seems to only be happening in Time Trial, I just tried Grand Prix and the HUD elements were where I had moved them to.

Thanks for the additional reports. We added that to our initial report 👍

  • This happens on Xbox Series X too and also the MFD does not save either when moved. So far I have only noticed that this happens with the Time Trial layout not saving. Other Layouts save fine.

  • I am also experiencing this annoying issue. My peripheral vision can't see the GEAR & REV meter (placed so low on the screen) unless I move the "F1 Dial" GUI for the gears upward to the Halo barrier. The Time Trial OSD customization feature just will NOT save my personal mappings; nor is there a Filter for Time Trials in the OSD customzation area. I only see Filters for: Normal, Pit and Supercars.

Lastly, why are the OSD Customization & Map Rotation sections disabled within the OPTIONS|Settings area from the main menu before going to F1 World? I mean every other setting can be tweaked but OSD & Map Rotation? Come on now! And why force drivers to go deep into the new F1 23 game menus, scrolling through a ton of areas before we can finally customize OSD features? We're forced to go into a GP Session, or a TT Session first, select a car, then pick a track, then wait for the game to upload the session, then click, click and more scrolling and clicks. SMH. Simply put, just way too many layers to get to a base-level OSD Customization before hitting a track.

NB: The first update for F1 23 (v1.6.1006145 June) has removed OSD Customization from the Time Trial|Settings main menu. Now, it can only be accessed via the PAUSE MENU|Settings|OSD-Customization menu while on track in a Time Trial session...and it still won't save. SMH.

Simplifying, how we access OSD across ALL menus would be helpful and having PERMANENT access to OSD-Customization no matter where you are in the game. Why hide ANY game setting?
