Re: F1 23 - PC Version Crashes Consistently

@azEtil I come back with news, putting the GPU in debug mode does not fix the crashes.

I noticed that in career in coop - Cross play, it is almost impossible to finish a test session or a race. In F1 World it's the same thing.

However I noticed that if I play alone in the career or against the clock, I don't have a crash.

Yesterday I had to reinstall all of W11, I still have the same crash with the error in the event log: nvlddmkm

I think I've tried everything, I'm out of ideas...

And I didn't mention the FFB issues I'm having with my Thrustmaster wheel

Please add your mainboard model (ASUS?), thanks.

@SteveJackson hoping you can help my issue. Mine is similar. My game keeps crashing a few seconds into a race. Just crashes to desktop, no errors or anything. Thanks

UEFI BIOS 7.02 (follow ASUS SOP)

Remove Voicemeeter (or update), select default sound device in Windows.

Ensure BT Audio devices are updated with firmware and drivers.

LKD_0x141_Tdr:6_IMAGE_nvlddmkm.sys_Ampere_UserOC, type 0 from WER, Perhaps @Bourrito54 can help here. I don't have the Nvidia hardware but it seems the older drivers may be more stable.

536.23 was the F1 23 GRD so don't necessarily expect older drivers not to have other issues.

@SteveJackson I'll update everything and see if it makes a difference. It's the only game I'm having issues with atm, so I'm finding it odd. Thanks a bunch!
  • Anyone having this issue should first put Windows in to safe mode WITHOUT NETWORKING (That bit is very important), and then use DDU to completely remove all traces of the NVIDIA drivers. Once done you should install driver set 528.49 as this was, according to NVIDIA, the last fully stable set of drivers prior to the release of the 53X set. You can get the drivers either from the NVIDIA driver site by searching in the "Old/Beta" drivers, or from TechPowerUp who are a known and trusted source for older drivers. Simply Google TechPowerUp 528.49. Make sure to have those downloaded and ready to go BEFORE you put Windows into safe mode. This isn't a fix for everyone, obviously, but it has worked for a fair few people.
