Re: F1 23 - PC Version Crashes Consistently

I know you did unfollowed the thread, but I searched for solutions which could've helped me all over the web and this very topic. Few which i considered worthy of a try didn't do any difference, so i'll cross my fingers if you'll be willing to help me.
My game crashes to desktop on various occasions, but probability of a crash is severely lowered by restarting my PC prior to launching a game, but it does not rule crashes out. It can happen on anything from not skipping podium cutscenes to a simple button press.

My motherboard is MSI Z490-A PRO

Update UEFI(?) BIOS https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/Z490-A-PRO/support 2G0 available. Please follow SOP on that page.

Update mainboard drivers https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/Z490-A-PRO/support#driver , run IDSA https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/detect.html

Update AMD GPU driver https://www.amd.com/en/support/downloads/drivers.html/graphics/radeon-rx/radeon-rx-6000-series/amd-radeon-rx-6600.html

Run antimalware sweep https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download/thankyou

Restart after doing all this and delete hardware_settings_config.xml, verify Steam files.

Launch game.

Provided you are not trying to run a 'FitGirl repack' as some of the unRARing software is in your WER.

Thank you for the response. Game still does crash, but I think it might be happening because of the fact that I use CSM instead of UEFI in BIOS because the latter does not work for me. I may need to make a clean install of Windows to change MBR to GPT partitioning if my judgement is correct for UEFI to work, maybe that will fix it.

You can use MBR2GPT at the CMD prompt.

Whilst you're at it, enable Secure Boot and do you have AMD SmartMemory enabled? (Unsure if UEFI/SB are prerequisites).

Thank you for the help, going through the steps fixed the problem! At least, crashes didn't happen yet and it somehow fixed stutters I had for a while!
