Re: Qualy setup to Race setup

Are you playing with parc ferme rules disabled?

F1 regulations do not allow for setup changes after the car leaves the garage for qualifying. Basically you're only allowed to adjust front wing angle, brake bias, on-throttle differential.

    If you aren't using Parc Ferme rule or you want to set up for the 'race' (sacrificing 2-3 tenths in qualifying but with great benefits in race pace), usually I test setup in practice with medium-high wear (20-30%) and my results are typically:

    - add some click in wing, especially the rear (for example Spa 16-12 TT --> 19-18 Race / Silverstone 28-18 TT --> 27-28 Race)

    - suspension less stiff (Silverstone 41-15-8-1 --> 30-5-1-1)

    - I adjust differential on release if the new wings need it

    - tyre pressure modified to be in the range of perfect temperature if needed

    Hope it helps to give an idea, but I suggest to make effective comparison tests in track 😉

    Forgot a bit of fine tuning with geometry 🙂

    PS: just worked about Zandvoort, from 50-41 TT to 50-47 for the race (ok 46 too but little more stable 47, less risk)
