T818 Issue
I have a Thrustmaster T818 base with SF1000 wheel. after certain time, i get punches in my wheel. its stronger in corners and i dont hit anything. also the menu opens by itself without that i press a button. I drive in VR

using the same combo and not experianced what you have.
all i can suggest you can try is the following
make sure you are on the latest driver and firmware version for the base and rim & if using a usb hub try connecting into a usb port on pc instead and no other devices connected such as game pads.
driver package should be package 3 2023, t818 firmware should be version 7.22 and the rim should be on version 5.51
i also used the following settings in control panel and in game
control panel
overall strength 100%
damper 0%
linerality 0% (can increase this to make small forces less strong )
mode sport
in game
overall 50
road 30
kerbs 35
offtrack 40
damper try 0-2
if non of the above help things then it could be the wheel base or rim issue especially with menus opening by themselvesIn not VR mode, there are no punches and i lost one time the connection to my wheel for 1 second. I think this Issue is a problem with the VR performence that i lost very often the conection to my wheel. I try it later with a other USB port from my PC.
