Well regarding the better results in worse cars it might be like in previous games where the slower teams are mostly balanced with driver rating but the car is faster than it should be which will result in a better player result, a different point might be different characteristics of the car suiting you more..

Regarding AM performance its 9kg overweight ingame as of yet and has the worst weight distribution on a certain axis but as @DavidGG53 said its more difficult than just that one value..

This is a list of the COMY weight distribution values (centre of mass on the y-axis iirc) on the right and in the middle what "ranking" it would be among the others
