f1 2024 PSvr2
Formula 1 2024 MUST come with PSVR2 availability. GT7 is definitely a game changer for lovers of speed and racing simulators. The Formula 1 category is by far one of the most modern sports categories...
I completely see the logic from people like yourself. All fair reasoning. I just want to see VR succeed across multiple platforms. It really should be embraced by the masses and is a bigger leap forward than any console generational gap these days (in my opinion). Sadly cost is the problem. VR alone is more expensive than the console, let alone adding a wheel into the mix
@superhoops82 "Sadly cost is the problem." Pretty much this. With any technology, first you invent it, then you have a couple directions you can go with it in terms of R&D, do we add more features? do we make it smaller and more portable? more energy efficient? do we make it more affordable and accessible? just to name a few of the top of my head.
Either they haven't been able to figure how to make it more affordable, or they've deluded themselves into thinking if they keep adding new features/games people will magically look past the price point and sales will take off.
IMO I think we won't see a "VR Revolution" until at least the PS6 timeline, but I sense I'm not the target audience so what do I know.
VR has been around since the 90s and despite many efforts it’s never gained mass appeal. Many studies have been made into why. Turns out people myself included don’t like the thought off wearing a headset that cuts you off from reality for a number off reason… most common being.. Antisocial, feeling vulnerable.
@ScarDuck14 A lot of you all might not of seen this but several years back here in the US there was a commercial kinda making fun of VR.
started off with a dude playing a game on his virtual reality headset, meanwhile, in the background his girlfriend is packing up everything in the apartment (flat). Then when she finally leaves and slams the door closed behind her, he of course takes off the VR headset to see what the noise was and realizes everything is gone, and starts looking around really confused. Only things left at this point are him, a lawn chair, the TV, the PlayStation, and the VR headset.
i forget what the ad was trying to sell, other than obviously not a VR headset but yes I would agree, there’s still a bit of a stigma about blocking yourself off from the world.
