Hopes for f1 25

With lewis in ferrari, this year is an epic year in f1. Never like this year can we have a championship so close with more teams fighting. Ea/Codemasters' F1 must definitely change direction if it doesn't want to lose all F1 fans. My hope is that first of all they take a step back and understand that F1 23 was actually a good game and was a small base to start from. Changing the physics so much on F1 24 didn't bring the benefits that were expected. Replacing David Greco is not an easy mission but I have some ideas about how to make F1 a beautiful and fun game to drive again. Given that Casey is an engineer, an engineer (we're still in the F1 world) tries to make a car as fast as possible thanks to the precious feedback from the driver. It's not a disrespect towards Casey but David was a master at this, thanks to his experience with racing cars he was able to communicate his feelings about how to drive a racing car to the physics heads and his suggestions have been useful in improving the game over all these years. He arrived with his latest work, F1 23, with a very nice game to drive, albeit with a lot of room for improvement, but still a game clearly better than F1 24 in terms of driving. I think Casey needs real feedback, not the fake marketing that is done every year with some f1 drivers. We need a collaboration with some reserve drivers, with an f1 team that provides its own driver and that tests the car in the presence of the entire Codemasters handling department. Test the car in any type of condition, so that the reserve driver can give his feedback to Casey and the entire team. So we could also have a wet weather done at its best, who better than a driver can describe the feeling that there is in the rain. I don't think it's impossible, but if EA/Codemasters wants to regain everyone's trust, they must do these things. The direction of f1 23 was right, with small adjustments, such as a wider setup window, a lower car chassis, less tire and track grip, updated tracks and laser scan, collisions with curbs (which were non-existent on f1 24), with an improvement in the driving model and following in the footsteps of other sims, such as a more advanced dynamic weather, we would all be over the moon. I hope that in the meeting held a short time ago, these considerations were made. F1 has exploded more and more in recent years and we deserve so much love towards this sport, so push towards the path of improving the simulation and not taking 10 steps back. P.S. the old generation of consoles should no longer be around for at least two years, I hope I don't have any surprises this year. Good luck with the new game, I hope this message reaches the team directly. @EA_Groguet

  • @ScarDuck14 Dear friend, here the only certain thing is that the game license is at very high risk. We really have to hope for a miracle, and here the miracle would only be to work with passion and test the game for hours and hours. F1 25 with f1 24 must have nothing in common, they must be like night and day. Let's hope we don't find ourselves without official f1 games in the next few years, we have already missed two incredible world championships like 2007 and 2008 without being able to play a game with an official license. Luckily there were games of the caliber of GP4 and Rfactor that with their mods and their splendid driving and physics did not make us feel the lack. I repeat again for the whole team, follow the story of Kunos, how much passion there is in that team. Everything is possible but the way forward is always that of a game more towards simulation.

I would always go for the long term. If we have to miss 2-3 seasons to see someone will skill and passion to reinvest the series, I would be ok. To me, if it will be like 2024, it is the same as not having anything.

@LightPilgrim I agree with you. Unfortunately, creating a great game takes a long time. So yes, if they were to release f1 25 as a beta test for what will be 2026, that's fine. But let's follow real feedback from people who are passionate and experienced in sim and racing. As I've said many times, perhaps more staff is needed both to test the game in its driving/physics model and to identify the various bugs. But it needs to be done carefully, a game is not tested for an hour and then everything is ok. From there, you can start to propose new things, like dynamic weather in the Assetto Corsa Evo style. But for this I hope they are already working on it, it's not something that can be done easily in a few months. Adding things like this can certainly help in selling the game, but it must not be fake marketing, but something that still changes your experience but in a positive way

This is not how companies work. The truth never gets to the top management because it would mean that a lot of people will be gone. Yes, they have business reviews and see sales figures. Byt I can tell you 179% that when the boss is asking why, they answer is not “we have a bad product”. Then the boss says: fine, move resources to areas where we see more profit. They look into the entire portfolio. The only hope you have is if someone gets to FIA. But…they are also covered here: Max, Lando and Charles will say - we gave feedback and the game is exact as we said it should be.

    honestly, there is no hope:-)

@LightPilgrim The problem is exactly that, false feedback. If the drivers really gave real feedback and not to encourage people to buy the game, no one would buy it. This is why I'm pushing on the forum to do some sort of collaboration with real drivers, whether they are test drivers or drivers of minor formulas. They know exactly how a real racing car behaves and EA should invest in these things if they want to improve the handling situation. For example, I would do everything to bring Greco back to EA, but not alone, supported by someone who can test his changes and give feedback. But that someone must have driven at least a little, racing cars.

For EA, F1 is irrelevant. It will not impact their stock. Max might advertise F1 game because he is paid, but you know that when it comes to his choice, it is iRacing,
