The bottom line is 1.7 is a complete and utter disaster compared to 1.6. I can throw an infinite amount of various controller figurations at it, but the net results are just complete garbage.
Monaco is nothing short of a absolute shambles! You turn in to the exit of Tabac and the car is absolutely atrocious. In addition when getting on the power exiting the Loews hairpin the car pushes you towards the barrier with a staggering amount of understeer.
What annoys me so much is this latest update is supposed to improve the control and feeling for pad players. It's quite clear to me that this is wasn't fully tested along with everything else they churn out.
Can I get rid of the sensitivity of the front end? Yes by increasing the rear ride height or rear wing to excessive levels, which in turn makes me so much slower.
I am absolutely flabbergasted that they released a patch to improve this calamitous disaster and made it even worse.
And before anyone says it's setup, I've been playing and setting up F1 cars since Geoff Crammonds GP series and raced in leagues for many years at a very high level.
Beyond poor!
It sucks when you get a bad feeling for it and it just doesnt work with your playstyle/setup philosophy but when its clearly not everyone who finds it abysmal its hard to say that they should have just tested it more. There will always be people who dont like it. When it suits you perfectly others would say its undriveable
- IanM2827 months agoSeasoned Ace@Meza994 Thats fair enough, but regardless of that the majority of pad players feel like it's a step in the wrong direction, including me. Therefore I have to state my frustrations.
Agreed some people may like the recent changes and that's fine, each to their own.
But look at the responses here. Clearly a step down. - 7 months ago
Monaco is an absolute nightmare on controller after the latest patch, with Patch 1.03-1.06 i had the best Monaco Experience in all F1 Games
- IanM2827 months agoSeasoned Ace@roberto9663 Agreed and thank you, not just me then. Monaco is absolutely hopeless with 1.7. I also went so well with 1.3 and 1.6 there. Driving Monaco in 1.7 is like steering a supermarket shopping trolley with one wheel. Absolutely hopeless.

Few people? 12 People liked (same problem) the first post in this thread? And there's much more in other threads, reddit etc.
- IanM2827 months agoSeasoned Ace@roberto9663 Exactly, it's not just those on this message board. The handling adjustments in 1.7 for the majority of controller players is a disaster!
