@Rapheal629 Hey, great post 🫶
@Darthsausage44 we need to wait for in-depth reviews from people outside of EA's creator network and media that was given exclusive preview access. Anything put out before the real embargo ends I'd take with a grain of salt. Even the negative coverage, as versioning is a mess and creators often play on a build that can be a few iterations old - but I honestly don't think the Day 1 version will be better in any tangible way.
Regarding the feel of the handling. You're right, and the overall feel should be the priority. Not lap times or specific cornering speed. That not see the forest for the trees kind of thing.
There's a lot to it though, and it seems to me that the many clips making the rounds on social media ring so many alarm bells that a seemingly accurate pointy front end won't be able to compensate for that "overall feel" we're looking for.
Understeer here and oversteer there. That's just too vague, and it's a shame that a sizeable chunk of the feedback doesn't dive any deeper than that puddle - not to say how often they feel abysmally contradictory.
I'm worried about the ride feeling artificial. And that kills any and all immersion for me.
I'm worried there will be moments of artificial snapping peppered around a lap. The game overcorrecting your inputs and making the car snap into position.
I'm also worried about bumps and kerbs being pancaked flat and setups being a non-factor or an easily exploitable one.
