Cannot open packs or claim items

I can’t open any packs because I have a gold pack and everytime I go to open it it says ‘There was a problem connecting to the Football Ultimate Team servers. Please try again later’. 

I have tried everything and now it’s 8 hours later and I still cannot open packs or claim items
