Freeze
Hello EA Support,
I've been experiencing severe freezes in EA SPORTS FC 27 on PC for several weeks.
THE PROBLEM:
During matches, the game freezes for approximately 10-20 seconds, usually 2-3 times per match.
The in-game clock stops during the freeze.
Commentary audio continues playing, while stadium sounds sometimes stop.
After the freeze, gameplay resumes from exactly where it stopped.
The issue also occurs in Kick-Off matches against the AI.
Menus work normally, and other games run without issues.
MY PC SPECIFICATIONS:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600
GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1070 8 GB
RAM: 16 GB DDR4
OS: Windows 11
Platform: Steam
Storage: SATA SSD
IMPORTANT OBSERVATION:
During a freeze, SSD response times increased from approximately 2-5 ms to around 5,600 ms.
The same freezes also occurred when the game was installed on a different HDD.
TROUBLESHOOTING ALREADY COMPLETED:
- Reinstalled the game
- Verified Steam game files
- Checked graphics drivers
- Checked EA Anti-Cheat
- Disabled overlays and background applications
- Tested low graphics settings
- Tested different NVIDIA settings
- Tested fullscreen and borderless windowed mode
- Checked SSD/HDD health
- Performed Windows system checks
- Monitored RAM usage and disk activity
None of these steps permanently resolved the problem.
Could EA please investigate whether this is a known issue with the PC version?
I'm particularly interested in whether the game engine, shader processing, or asset loading could cause these long freezes.
