@ActionDan0 Hopefully there will be some glimmer of news coming out on the state of the game. Right now, the main focus is the CurrentGen to NextGen conversion where people will have to migrate to the new consoles and regain the trust with the NBA, WNBA, NBPA, WNBPA where 2K is handed a lot of money and owns a lot of exclusive rights in a way based on the names of MJ, Kobe, and Jabbar. For EA to show that they can be a reliable developer to make the games like they use to? They have to be consistent and have a deep development team besides having EA Canada, EA Tiburon, and EA Madrid at the time all in one mix which the game was canceled. Consistency and trust are the keys for EA to develop and bring in more depth and hoping not to have another situation like the control scheme from NBA ELITE that felt the another EA NHL game, so I get you on the demand of this post.
Well said. And I agree. I'm just living in the past I guess when NBA Live was the only game of it's kind in the 90s early 2000s. Sure miss the 3 point contest. Obviously EA's mainstay and money maker as far as sports is the Madden franchise so I understand how they really aren't pushing for an NBA game. But I sure can't be the only one that isn't a real fan of the 2k layout?
Do you mean the grind unlockables? It is very Dauntless / Fortnite-ish in an Epic way, but I can't put it past them when it comes to appropriation creation and the whole Sega Dreamcast engine. They are a good franchise as a basketball fix for some when you once had College Hoops 2K, now NBA 2K Playgrounds, and now NBA 2K. Right now, EA's moment is to focus on NBA LIVE Mobile, and if it is discussed behind closed doors where we now see PGA is back along with NCAA Football and Skate 3. NBA Live, NBA Street or NBA Jam, and NCAA Basketball are long overdue definitely both Street and NCAA, and Live is the core of the basketball community. With that being said, I do miss all of the basketball content on the consoles which all need to be brought back. I am sure the highest demand needs to be is bringing back ASW, and what posters posted in the now-closed NBA LIVE Forums as a wishlist.
