My apologies for bad grammar. But what you have now as certain players have shooting, defensive skills, playmaking, and rebounding qualities. Can you create more skills or performance based characters on passing, ball handling, or coach ability?
Also, what about having them trash talking still. That's one of many great skills that makes a game performance level up.

Trash talking is part of sports but toxicity can be unfortunate in games. What kind of trash talk are you referring to. Emojis?
Yes, either that or word use for example. "Score" or "down by 5 or 10" , something positive but no over the top. " I got skills" or something.
