Adam Fantilli

So why isn’t Adam Fantilli in the game? At least I haven’t seen him there in franchise mode.

EA has the rights to the CHL so can put CHL players in the game. They also have the rights to quite a few European leagues as well, so any of those players can appear in the game.

They don’t have the rights to some leagues such as NCAA, KHL or USHL, so they cannot put players that come from those leagues in until they appear in a regular season game or sign the AHL waiver.

You will notice the top 2 projected picks for the upcoming draft won’t be in NHL 24 as they are playing NCAA hockey this year, but real players in the CHL will be available to draft in your Franchise Mode.

He has to play appear in an NHL regular season game first. So assuming he plays this week, he should be added with the next roster update.

But Bedard, Yegar, Benson and thise guys haven’t either and they are in. I’m not being a * just asking how this works

@rikdawg74 They aren't on the NHL teams right? But Fantilli came from NCAA so that is why he isn't added to a roster yet.

@rikdawg74By the way, you will miss many players up till December about AHL waiver form. Each AHL freshman player need to sign a contract. So guys which came from the NCAA, Russia for example, you will not see in one of the next rosters, some CHL players not too but maybe you will find them at their old CHL teams. Every year the same process. But by the way you can create this emotionless black silhouettes ( EA never updates with headshot pictures during next updates, even they have one at the official websites ) easily by yourself.

@Beauts90They could all include if they buy the rights, and yes to buy individual player likenesses from NCAA or USHL is possible from law since some years. Russian KHL will not come, but don't understand why they don't ask for rights of the Slovakian league. So many good players from this league. Also could create NCAA, USHL, KHL with fantasy names and possibility to edit.

They definitely could, but are way too cheap.
They had Jack Hughes in the game at launch (before he played a regular season game) during his draft year including his official portrait, so it is possible.
The license they have for players is by far the worst of any sports game for having the best, most accurate rosters available.
