Angry yelling and swearing people in versus

Decided to do my first two versus matches today and it's just people yelling obscenities, slurs and insults for the entire game. I guess you really do get what you pay for.

    Welcome to online gaming.

Ever played any other online game ever? They're all like this. Most people are complete morons who hide behind their gamertags and anonymous online chat to act tough. Best just to ignore and report them.

This is why I always start a party by myself so I don't have to hear someone displaying that behavior.

Just remove the open mic from the game we don't get to talk to the other team when we're playing hockey.

I'm constantly chirping the other team in our men's league. Especially if their roster has some familiar faces!

Do you all put in earpieces so you can call each other the "n" bomb and yell various gender related epithets for the entire game too? Being in a full time chat with someone isn't at all the same as "chirping" people on the ice in men's league.

Besides, chirps are supposed to be clever and funny. If someone wants to bust out a slur at men's league it's just another 3 games and a foodbank donation for me if you catch my drift.

Are you familiar with the mute button?

You've got an excuse for everything...except bad game design.

If by excuse you mean knowledge of mechanics that, if properly utilized, would yield better results and improve your experience.. then yes.. I'm full of them. Glad I could help!

The corporate word your looking for is "workaround". You're creating "workarounds" to avoid the broken features of the game and if we're relying on a PS chat to not have slurs come out of my controller then I wouldn't call that a "mechanic".

You're not helping anyone, you're just trying to shift the blame to the user end and it's objectively hilarious.

Suggesting someone mute another player for whatever reason is a perfectly viable option and not a workaround. We can't control what people say. We could turn off chat altogether, but it doesn't seem like something that would be forced since you so very easily can mute someone.
