BAP simple fixes and wishlist
I play BAP every year alongside other modes and gathered a few small and simple and a few other change suggestions.
Simple changes:
- Every attribute should be available to upgrade via salary perks. Currently there are no Perks for developing Acceleration of Hand-eye. Also some attributes are much more difficult to develop than others. Typically the attributes lacking behind are Acceleration (in relation to Speed), Hand-eye (in comparison to other Hands stats), Shot power (Accuracy develops way faster, and especially for Playmaker power is lacking behind). Following below would pretty much help fix this:
- NHL players invest in personal coaching to develop their skills so those would be real-life-like perks and make sense for specific attributes.
- Suggested Salary Perks: for 30 or 90 days, for $50-100k so can be hired limitless times.
- Private Shooting coach, +2 to every shooting attribute
- Private Skating coach, +2 to acceleration, speed, agility, balance
- Skills coach, +2 to puck control, hand-eye, deking
- Strengh coach, +2 to strength, +2 Shot power (Slap shot and wrist shot), +2 durability
- You absolutely need to get to keep your boost for upgrades. Temporary perks are quite useless now in 24 that the boosts from them are basically loan boosts, while pre-24 you got to keep the bonus. The bonus for attributes should always remain.
- All abilities that make any sense for player type should be possible to obtain. Currently you can't get Elite Edges for any forward, or Truculence for sniper or playmaker for example.
- Unlock the training during playoffs. Especially annoying during European CHL that you can't train and develop.
- Bring back the messages screen where you can see trades, injuries etc.
- Selection to disable Cybulski announcing game results in menus, it gets very repetitive and annoyning very quickly (now it's only possible by muting all the cutscnes but you actually want to hear them talking about your playr in cutscenes)
- Coach Challenges from bench absolute max two times per game. In close game near the end they're fine to challenge to score when behind or lock down if winning.
Larger wishes:
- Playable All-Star game (not so large and it did exist in franchise in years past). Even just the game would be massive +, Skills comp even better
- Return the ability to play in Junior leagues and AHL for multiple years and really develop before jumping to NHL. It's not very fun to play in nhl as 70 OVR player...
- Playable World Junior Championships that would affect your draft stock (and maybe mens World Championship although the timing is more difficult as it's during playoffs). Would make full use of IIHF licencing finally.
