I am having the same issue. Not sure if it’s intentional but the X factor points go away on the temporary salary perks when the perks expire. I did not have this happen in 22 or 23. If this is intentional it’s seems quite ridiculous to have to play 10+ seasons to be able to make the money to buy the salary perks to get the max ability slots.
@jwdiack I'm thinking it may be that the new development team understood the "temporary" and "recurrent" perk differently than the previous one and intentionally coded them as basically loans. The issue is not only with xf points but also any temporary perk seems to be a loan whereas in 22 and 23 you got to keep the boost, which made much more sense to develop you player to certain direction
