Just want to say the changes you guys have made to gameplay are fantastic. I still prefer skill stick because I don't like dekes being that easy, but in terms of hitting, passing, momentum, fatigue, puck control, variety of goals, etc. this is as good and balanced as things have been in over a decade.
Please don't change it because some people are mad they can't do the same goal over and over again. Think about it. It makes sense that people who aren't used to playing creatively and scoring different kinds of goals would be the ones complaining. They're not used to adapting because they always just forced the thing they knew until it worked. But people who played smart, situational hockey already know how to adapt. And that's what they're doing with these changes.
Don't listen to meta players who want the game to move backwards for their benefit. You've been doing that for years, and the game has gotten worse reviews every year. That's not a coincidence. This year's game plays like hockey. Keep it that way.
Couldn't agree more. Gameplay regression to comfort streamers and very vocal social media addicted trolls is not what this game needs. Stand strong in the face of demands that things be changed to fit the exact playstyle of a few 'elites'.
Big fundamental gameplay changes take time to master. There is a LARGE group of VERY VOCAL users who demanded changes to gameplay and a subset of that group is simultaneously demanding certain changes be reverted without even giving it a single day.
My sincere hope is EA can weed out quality feedback from the firestorm of feedback steeped in pure contrarianism.
