CREATION ZONE UPDATES

This post is to discuss ideas for all things creation zone in NHL 24.

The creation zone has not been updated in a number of years, other than adding a couple of logos and the on ice intros.

As someone that has 800 hours in NHL 23, I have spent a LOT of time in the creation zone. A lot of that time is spent adjusting sliders. My first wish is that we can assign L1/R1 to move sliders by values of 10 for a quicker experience moving sliders. 

Skating style - I would like to see something like FIFA where you can choose from presets instead of having 20 sliders that have never been explained properly. 

Helmets with Cages - Allow us to change the color of the cage on a helmet. No team in the world wears yellow cages. Please allow us to have a black/white/chrome cage on a real helmet, not just the "college bucket". 

Logos - Allow us to use ALL logos that are in game for created teams. And please keep adding logos. Outlines for EVERY state and province would be awesome. Please add some sort of Bee/Yellow Jacket logo. 

Team Names - This is the most insane thing to me... so many of the preset names are absurd yet there's not even a choice for "bobcats". 

Arenas - We don't see the arenas enough in this game. I would like to see more arenas available for created teams. Allow us to use community/junior arenas for our created teams. Every arena feels the same, especially with created teams. Help us put some character into our created teams homes. I would love to be able to add banners for championships and other teams in the league. 

Creation Zone Roster Size - up the roster size. Currently you can create up to 50 teams and about 600 players per roster. It's impossible to make a completely created league with 48 teams. I want to be able to create every team in both the NHL and AHL in a 48 team custom league.

An option for no duplicate players in a custom league / franchise mode. It's very annoying to spend an hour setting up a franchise to find out that there are two Panarin's in the league. 

I think it would be cool if there was an option to auto populate a custom league with auto generated players. 

On Ice Intros - Add more. Let us create them using a choice of presets. Allow us to change the colors of the laser lights. Add fog. Add more player intros. 

What are some things you would like to see updated in regards to the creation zone?

    @SnizzBarDizz2ohNice to see, what is your passion to creation zone. Also I like create players and teams to the game. On your list is much things, which I wanted see in the creation zone.
    - Allow us to change the color of the cage on a helmet.
    - More arena models
    - Allow us to use ALL logos that are in game for created teams. And please keep adding logos.

    - Allow us to write team name to jersey.  Like in the NY Rangers jersey

    I might be wrong but I thought I read somewhere that you can create a whole lot more teams and players this year.

    @SnizzBarDizz2oh Would be nice, if we could create to jerseys, where front side and back side would be different colors. Somekind jersey creator tool would be awesome add.

    Wow insanely big if true and very much appreciated as someone that has put in thousands of hours in creation zone over the last few years. Finally I will be able to create all NCAA DI teams on the same roster!

    @SnizzBarDizz2oh Absolutely. Especially when we know EA Sports bad logo collection in team creation. Would be nice, if we could use all logos in team creation. Would be nice create for example alumni teams for european club teams or national teams. I was disappointed to EA Sports, when we not get use Jokerit logo in team creation in NHL 23, when they added Jokerit logo and jersey to HUT and EASHL. Jokerit Helsinki is my favourite team and would be nice create Jokerit alumni team to game. Just in this situation would have been nice, if we could have write team name to jersey. Team name in the jersey, would have been better than EA's bad custom logo collection. 2K NBA game we could upload logos to the game via internet, this kind possibility would be nice add to NHL games in the future.

    For me, as someone who spends countless hours creating vintage rosters

    1. Replace that color wheel with some RGB sliders and the ability to enter the hex code for the already known color of a team.. trying to make small adjustments with joysticks and that color wheel to find that perfect color is nearly impossible.

    2.Let us have full customization like in CHEL, let us have all the outfits and cool stuff available in offline.. I don't play CHEL at all normally but I'd consider it if I could unlock more skins for offline custom teams ( I mean come on who wouldn't love creating a team of short players in elf suits for Christmas! haha).

    3.Let us create our retro rosters and give us the ability to remove helmets! Let us have the ability to adjust the alumni players current ages... give us some retro gear and goalie masks.

    4. Can we please gain the ability to randomize attributes? I'd love this for making custom throwback rosters it could speed up the process when making those AHL depth players. example: set player overall at 68 and hit "randomize" with X button a few times and voila! 

    A little off topic but along the same lines of creating custom leagues with throwback rosters

    5.Enable full customization in franchise mode.. why not have this option? additionally to this .. let us be able to control every team if we wanted to

    Note: Was going to add in "manually enter contract $ amounts" but it looks as if this will be in the game according to Tougie …so that adds years to life lol
