You poke a guy.. hope it aims at the puck and then hope he doesn't just get possession of it immediately after it dislodges and he skates past you from your loss in speed. (Not the greatest tool..)
Hitting will also take you FAR out of the play if you miss.. so ONLY use a hit when it's wide open and you're sure to get it!
If I had a dollar for every time I stood in the middle of a cross crease pass and the puck bounced off of my skate and into the net I would have made $5 last night. Cool!
At this point playing defense is mostly luck. I mean breakout passes and keeping the line in the offensive zone is a tiny bit of skill but defense? This isn't the dev team.you want in place if you care about defense.
