Thanks for reaching out. Is your friend on a wired or wireless connection? Also, which console are they playing on?
Yes he's wired in and he's in xbox series x.
No problems in nhl 23 and it's happend since the game came out

Have they tried the troubleshooting steps here? Also, tell them to make sure UPnP is enabled. That needs to be done on their router settings. They should also be using an ethernet cable that is at least Cat 6.
- @EA_Aljo I'll have him check that on his router but he's on cat 5 and has no other issues on any other games, and I my self use cat 5 and don't get his issues and neither do any my other friends. If his router settings are correct is there something else?

Why is this always the answer? This game has had disconnecting issues since WoC came back.. its a game issue.. ea has basically been using the same coding every year. We've respectfully mentioned it every year.. IT SHOULD NOT STILL BE AN ISSUE.. respectfully.. fix the core basics of this game, then add in all the extra things..

I ask because many people don't realize how unstable wireless is. We need to go through troubleshooting first. We're not aware of any issues with the game/servers currently as the amount of disconnects is relatively low.

This is the only game that I've ever played that's ever had an issue when playing it wireless.. ita just another issue that been in the game forever, that has yet to be resolved.. it's not an ISP thing, when it's literally the only game that will have spikes where the gameplay slows, then speeds up really quick to catch up with itself.. it's not good.
