This nhl 24 could be so good game If that unrealistic speedboost hitting is gone. Force passes, shooting everywhere, greasy goals..
I play 1 div but Seriously losing my mind to play in hut againts players whos just shoot, shoot shoot, force force force, skate. They skill level is seriously 2-4division but now they are"good " becouse this gameplay helps and rewards more of that simple low skill hockey. Go and have look what eki, sopuli and others have said that they wish and needs to be in nhl 25. More skill and hockey iq and not this simple gameplay that just skate, shoot, force. Sauser passes was skill gab in the previous years, bring back that or something else. @EA_Aljo

@Jutila22 wrote: I play 1 div but Seriously losing my mind to play in hut againts players whos just shoot, shoot shoot, force force force, skate. This rationale escapes me. "I'm playing in the most competitive division in the most competitive mode and it upsets me that my opponents can just shoot and score"
This idea of "forcing" plays is also absurd. I understand that top-level players have a way of making it seem like they're "forcing" a play on you - but I hate to break the news to you: That's what it feels like to play against people who are very good at this game.

If skating, shooting and 'forcing' seem to be such an easy thing for your opponents to do, then I suggest you take it upon yourself to start skating, shooting and forcing in an effort to remain competitive.

- KlariskraysNHL1 year agoHero+@KidShowtime1867 It's funny because esport Polgz won the HUT Championship and also won a huge 6v6 tournament. Obviously some people know how to play both modes at truly a high level. Div 1 isn't anything special in EASHL either. Those esport players are true Div 1 and the things they can do whether people like it or not is what separates them from the masses. Even when the precious LT got nerfed they remained at the top because they adapted.

I think the argument some people make is "it isn't hockey" the way these top players play. Therefore, they shouldn't be at the top and their success is only because they know how to play the game and know nothing about hockey.
There's clearly an ego issue with some people when it comes to what constitutes 'hockey' - but let's set that aside for a moment.
I'm not really sure what needs to be done, said or demonstrated to drive the point home that this is a videogame. I understand people want to live vicariously through the game and spend time immersed in an NHL environment. In my opinion, that's what offline modes are for. Those modes are designed for people to play this game the way they want to.
Online competitive modes are where people compete for who is better at the game. Not at hockey. Circling back to the ego comment; some people have very firm beliefs that their hockey knowledge surpasses mostly everyone else. So, when they play a hockey videogame that they believe they should master based almost entirely on their hockey knowledge, and they consistently get beaten by players who know how to play the game - they get enraged. Their vision of themselves as being hockey IQ gods gets tarnished by someone who can score cross grease goals at will against them (because they refuse to adapt defensively, because "the game is letting them score"). They refuse to admit someone is better at the game than them, because in their mind (real life IQ = videogame success) it would mean admitting someone is better at hockey than them.
Rather than admit defeat at the game, they insist everything is broken. Every goal is a glitch goal. Every loss is due to the game letting "lesser skilled" players have an advantage, etc etc.
