It definitely feels like games take a bit longer this year. My club typically has a two hour window on nights when we play. In previous years we would easily get five complete games in. Now we can't get more than four complete games done during the same time.
Nothing that's been changed ( tunnel of doom celebrations, etc ) seems like it should account for the extra time. And we're not waiting longer than usual between matches. But the games do seem to take longer.
Can't speak for others but I've always found games to be rather short, even with the new celebrations. We normally get a lead pretty quick and just joke around and try to get wacky with plays so maybe that time dilation stuff starts to kick in.
I can see dreading a guaranteed loss could make a game feel longer
