@Stubo_NHL24It's mind-blowing that you don't watch or play ice hockey. What are you basing your expectations for this game series on if not the experience you've gained through one or both of these two methods?Right? It's like going to a message board for racing games, demanding that the game be 'fixed' to fit your special interpretation of what racing is, despite never driving a car or observing traffic.
The funny thing is, Stubo's interpretation of hockey is a lot closer to real life than what half of this board is asking for which would for all intents and purposes be considered a "special interpretation" of the sport of hockey.
I mean, you would think my threads outlining the lack of real forechecking, neutral zone, offensive zone, and defensive zone strategies would be 20 pages deep if we were all concerned with the real sport, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
Stubo's observations as a "casual observer" should be taken extremely seriously if we're wanting this community and sport to grow. This game should be a great marketing tool to draw our more casual fans into the sport by giving them a somewhat comparable experience compared to the playoff hockey they just watched. Unfortunately for that audience, they can't get close to that target right now due to the AI.

Or maybe it's that there are real strategies that work, if you control players efficiently and properly, and there's no need to engage with your post. Dunno. Hard to say.
