I am having the same problem, as my on-ice trainer does not show up. I have attached two images, one of my Be a Pro character skating with the puck (without the on-ice trainer), and another showing that I have my on-ice trainer turned on. I was not able to attach a video because the size was too big. This problem occurs in every game mode. I am on PS5, my PSN name is Z_Guy0308, and I am playing on Superstar difficulty.
Hi there, @zmaltese0308
You can put the video up on a service like YouTube and link it in a response.
If you change Control Hints to Beginner or Expert, does it work?

The on-ice trainer does not work no matter what difficulty I put it on. Here is a link to a short clip of me playing that shows that the on-ice trainer does not work even though I have it turned on: https://youtu.be/up4vggHkD0A?si=9bY3ARdl7EWDdP92

It looks like the trainer is working except for the hints that pop up over your head. I see you're still on intermediate. Just to confirm, you changed that to beginner or expert and it still won't work? They show different hints based on the difficulty you choose. Intermediate should only show new hints. Also, what modes have you tried this in?
If there are specific controls you're looking for, let me know. You can also look them up under the controller settings.

The hints above my character is the part of the trainer that we’re all talking about, and I tried every difficulty for the trainer and it still does not work. I originally played on adaptive, then intermediate, then turned it off and back on, then the others, and it still doesn’t work. This problem occurs in every game mode for me, and I don’t need to see the controls I just prefer to see hints for new skills to try while I play.

What console are you playing on? Also, what difficulty is your gameplay on? I don't mean the trainer setting for adaptive, beginner, etc.

I am on PS5 and playing on Superstar difficulty.

The difficulty is only supposed to matter when the trainer is set to adaptive. If you change your difficulty to rookie, do they start showing up? I'm just curious if there might be a bug related to being on Superstar and not having the hints show up regardless of using adaptive.

I set my difficulty to rookie and the hints still didn’t show up.

Thanks for trying. This is kind of a longshot, but try deleting the personal saved data for NHL 24. It's possible you could lose any offline saves and changes to settings. Normally, those will download from the cloud, but I can't guarantee that will happen. Go to Settings/Storage/System. Locate NHL 24 and delete the saved data.

I deleted my save after uploading it to the cloud and the hints still don’t show up.

Do you have the trainer enabled in the main menu settings as well as in each mode?
Also, are you using Skill Stick or Total Control? If you're using Total Control, as a test, could you switch to Skill Stick and see if they work?

Yes, I went to the main menu and my settings for the on-ice trainer are the same.

Which control layout are you using? Skill Stick or Total Control?

Hybrid

Could you try using Skill Stick to see if they show up? It's possible that with the change of controls with 24, these aren't reflected in the on-ice trainer.

Switching the controls worked. So I guess I can’t play on hybrid if I want the hints to pop up.

Thanks for letting me know. I'll pass this on to the team. Hopefully, we can get the other control schemes updated for the on-ice trainer hints in the future.

Don´t your test players, like you know... Test... a game before the release?
NHL 24 is basically a Beta version, not a complete game.
