I want to see these kind of fight back in the game but evolved.

Unless I was in a red mist like state I almost always came up short in real fights - cracked a tooth, hurt some fingies, and who knows how many actual concussions I suffered along the way, but I don't think they should be banned in the NHL; Young players shouldn't be dishing haymakers out there, obviously, but part of the game is needing a sheriff or two to keep the kind of peace officials are unable to uphold. Leagues shouldn't protect players just because of their name - It should be if I clip and destroy McWieny Hut Jr. then his teammates step in to make sure I never do it again...
As for the game, on PlayStation I pretty much led the league in fights with the old first person, noodle arm system we had - the last great fighting sim I tell you what. Hold right punch left and if/when they finally figure it out you go full left and punch middle right - boom, 95+ fight win % for the season.
I dunno what the heck this new input laggy system is they got going on but it certainly doesn't work/make any sense. There is no 'feedback' on hits like you never know if anything is connecting and it just looks like everyone is completely gassed with no power output. Game is rated E so I guess I'll never feel my fist breaking jaws and blood and teeth flying with haptic feedback but I think there should be something.
Fights don't do anything to boost momentum and their only current benefit is potentially taking the other team's star our for 5 minutes. Injuries are laughable and do nothing and stamina is so dang easy to replenish so what's the point? Fighting skill points are so useless; we need to remove it completely if not replace it with something else.- EA_Aljo2 years ago

The only boost fighting gives is to your energy.

Fighting is more than just settling some score - small guys standing up to the plate are inspirational, a goliath with calcified knuckles threatening to drop the gloves should intimidate everyone, and that split second running through your head knowing you'll need to face their top guy if uou hit theirs should stop uou in your tracks.
The crowds just go back to normal in thr next play - they don't want blood and I've lost my frenzy.
Injuries go away in like 2 real minutes so you can just turtle or not worry about losing a quick fight.
Stamina means absolutely nothing in this game since its so easy to get back.
We don't need a momentum system - never did; we just need all aspects to matter
