Would like to hear other people's opinions on the game speed. In my opinion it seems to be a bit too fast. There is times when it's near on impossible to keep up with how quick things are happening when playing the CPU. 3/4 passes between the cpu players within a couple of seconds to set up a goal. My eyes struggle to keep up with it never mind my reactions. I don't expect every aspect of the game to be real but I think having the game speed and player reaction times as close as possible to real life would make the game more enjoyable. Just my opinion. 😊

Getting a power play doesn't mean much for you when the game speed is this high because your players will get handcuffed when they try to receive a pass, only for a player to be skating up to them at 30 mph by the time they've got it under control. NHL 24 has been my favorite game since NHL 19, and is the first game since NHL 21 that I actually haven't gotten frustrated with the testing / haven't dropped the game before the turn of the new year.

You add the fact that the pressure system is flawed and it promotes puck ragging and it make the game at times unfair and unplayable.I made a post last week that was taken down by EA and I was banned for 24 hours because I spoke about ping advantage. It all goes hand and hand.

The speed is just fine to me. I play games like Rocket League and Apex Legends that demand fast reactions in order to be great at the time. Games slowed down allow for less skilled to compete.
I will say the skating in this game is ever so slightly too fast.
The passing imo isn't crisp enough
Stickhandling isn't fast enough

After hearing the servers for Rocket Arena were closing I decided to go back and finish everything - Dear lord the characters moved so slooooooooooow it's maddening!

Killzone 2 you were so heavy feeling but the maps let it work - Not that it needs to be faster but I personally don't wanna see NHL get slower; full pressure is already agaonizing. Fluidity of movement/agility is much more important than end to end speed on the ice since we are already contained to one area

But Rocket League is taken place on a field bigger than 4 or 5 hockey rinks together.

Ofc speed works better the more space you get, thats why I thought the game work much better with international size. For example.

NHL size + the current speed + poke checks = hot soup.

As I said, its more about learning a pattern that work and execute it faster than your opponent then to outsmart your opponent.

Everyone know whats coming, it just happen in different speed, depending on if your elite or not.
* Current speed is wrong of me to say because I dont play the current game. But this was a problem the whole time I played from 15-22.

Hello all, here are my sliders with offline gameplay set to superstar mode ( please note this took me a bit again after the latest patch as the players seemed to move quickly again after the update) .
Auto back skate is off as I like to control my players turning because of the difficulty and making timely decisions on my own in the defensive zone.
Many games are 2-1 , 3-2, 2-0, 4-2, etc .
All settings are set to human and cpu.
