Goalie Skating Backwards

Question

Hello, I just installed NHL 24 and started playing the Stanley Cup Final game, I played as the goalie and he kept automatically skating back into the net. I could move him forward up to the line but as as soon as I let go of the stick he skated back into the net. Then I started a Be a Pro goalie and the same issue occurred, so thus far I can’t play goalie without constantly fighting him skating backwards. I turned auto back skate off in the controller settings but this did not fix my issue. I can play at any other position and have no issues but when I play goalie he keeps skating backwards. Any advice would be appreciated because I really enjoy playing goalie and this game is unplayable right now.&nbsp;

The automatic backskate from the goalie is new in NHL24, thats something they implented.

Hey Thanks for the input! After watching some YouTube videos as well this is how the new goalie mechanics are supposed to work. It’s going to take some time to get used to, I reckon we can’t always expect the game to be exactly the same year to year. I appreciate the response!

You‘re very welcome. Yeah exactly, you just need some time to get used to the new mechanics. I guess in a few weeks/months it will probably be no problem anymore.
