Is there no way to remove the custom build when using this skater? If not thats a huge miss, and should probably be stated on the store when purchasing that you cannot use a custom build at all with ...

@Assisted_6 The Hammer is the custom build you can't edit and far exceeds what a custom grinder can do and that is the trade-off. Obviously they mostly selling the bundle of cosmetics but I will assume when the next season rolls around they will sell bundles for the previous battle pass builds for those you may have missed out on them.
ya the custom build is fine and all, but the problem is when using the skin for purely cosmetic reasons, you have not option to not use that build and instead use your own. I was under the impression when buying it that i could just use the skater model itself and none of the other stuff

Nobody who plays this game at a remotely competitive level would ever use this build in a club setting. I should be able to remove the attached custom build to it and instead use my own. I assumed this was just a skin that i could use, now that i realized i can only use the goon build associated with it, Ive already taken it off and treating it as a wasted 1000 points
Are you telling me that we can pay money for a build that's better than anything we can do for what's unlocked for free in game?
