Yeah, I don't see the problem with the option to fight, but how many real world players would turn that down?
The problem is that it completely and often quite abruptly stops play, and it's specifically a problem when your on the rush and suddenly snapped back to an auto fight or forced scrum bc of a hit you threw seconds ago, or a friendly AI hit. I've lost many odd man rushes and breakaways like this, and its bs.
At the very least they could tune it down a few notches...as this happens to me multiple times per game consistently..therefore, I am essentially being punished for landing good hits.
Also, the instigator penalty really does need to be added.

Yeah, I get how it interrupts play. How often is that happening though? It's always been a pretty rare occurrence. Frustrating at the time, but it's over quick and play starts up again. You may lose a scoring chance, but I imagine more chances will follow.
I'll pass on your feedback about the instigator penalty.

At least twice a game..and respectfully, I feel like you're kinda missing the point...shouldnt really happen at all imho

This, a thousand times this. The removal of forced fights and the instigator penalty have been needed for years. I haven't experienced it in 24 yet as 1) I havent played much yet and 2) I cant barely hit with the new skill stick setting, but in years past my only solution was to set my guys to never fight in the character editor...as I would constantly end up with 7 minutes of penalties for a clean hit (5 for fighting 2 for roughing). End of the day you should not force a penalty for clean hit unless the player opts to rough for fight back...

Honestly it depends on the game. If you’re dialed in and having a good hitting game, it’s easy to happen at least twice a game.

Still an nhl25 problem

Happens at least twice a game to me. Then it's 4 on 4 which ruins the flow of the lines, gasses players, and then draws out the clock. Now multiply that by the 82 games in a season, plus playoffs and it just kills. It shocks me that you act like it's no big deal when multiple people across multiple iterations state it's an issue. That attitude is the exact reason these games have slid downhill. I assume that attitude is pervasive within EAs dev team. Just add a setting to turn off of auto fights. I'd frankly rather have a bot reply. "it's always been a pretty rare occurance" when it happens every game. "but it's over quick" while we have to play 4 on 4 due to an issue that shouldnt exist. I have bought every NHL since 14 and I'm not buying this one until this issue, goalie controls are fixed, and allowing us to switch to older controls happens. Thankfully we have 75 cellys to look at though while we rag through the same stale, unchanged BAP and franchise.
