HUT is garbage and should never be expected to represent the game in the most realistic manner. Ever.
Theres a reason Eki and many other sweats only play HUT - it’s the easiest mode to exploit everything about this game.
@KidShowtime1867 Just to correct a glaring factual error, Eki does not play HUT exclusively. He plays a lot of 6s and participates in all the 6s leagues and tournaments in the European scene excluding a few country-specific leagues. He's consistently one of the top players in 6s on this side of the pond.
I've been following eki for the past few years - and for those who think hitting in a hockey game is 'unrealistic' the * eki pulls off is actually unrealistic. He routinely makes passing plays that you will NEVER see in real hockey. If realism is the goal, then EA should work on improving defensive abilities, not nerfing them like nerfing hitting, especially when hitting is as an essential ingedient to hockey as cheese is to macaroni and cheese. If you have a cheese allergy don't eat mac n cheese and if you don't like hitting don't play a hockey game. The nerf to hitting was ridiculous, hense the massive negative feedback and speedy reversal.
This is not a slam on eki, hes a great player and seems to be a good dude, im just replying to the argument that the current hitting is unrealistic while players can make ridiculous skating moves and pass the puck through three sticks for a goal, or where just because the puck is in your zone for a few seconds all of your defensive players become slow zombies auditioning for the three stooges, and all-world players like mcdavid are completely gassed in a minute of ice time. If realism is the goal, hitting is way down the list of unrealisric stuff in this game. The people who have a problem with hitting are the ice dancers and obi wan kenobi passers and they really arent concerned about realism they just want to play no touch peewee hockey. Skill players in hickey hate hitting too, but its part of hockey anyway. One of the reasons the all star game is so unliked is because there is no physical play. If you think this game is a ghost town now, follow thier advice and it will get a lot more sparce.
- @kennyjames21 To be fair Ultimate Team is meant to be the farthest thing from realism as possible with all players getting insane overalls. When it comes to online play the closest thing is Online Versus play but even then the talented people can still do unrealistic things, because the game isn't advertised as a true simulation experience. At best it's 70% realism with 30% arcade sprinkled in places.
- @KlariskraysNHL VS plays way better than HUT and when they nerfed the boost the game played great, HUT is joke all these xfactors and abilities ruined HUT ,but like always the twitch streamers and top players dictate how the game is tweeked

The feedback from you all here plays very heavily into each update we release.
