hybrid controls issues?
As I did not get any reaction for my last post, I try to make it as a new topic. This is the post I made last time and I add also more comments after playing NHL 24 World championship qualification....
It is almost impossible to try shoot those loose pucks in to the net if you are front of the goal because 9/10 times your player decides to hit opponent rather than shoot that loose puck in to the net. Our EASHL team has decided that my place is at front of the net trying deflections and rebounds but the BIG problem is that what i said before. What you need to do that your player doesn't hit opponent when you try to shoot those loose pucks? And i am using hybrid controls and everybody has said to me that pressing and holding L2 button it doesn't hit the opponent. Well it does not help so is there really anything to do?
This is something i didn't notice in NHL 23 so it has to be new thing because i do not remember even one interference penalty when i was trying to shoot those loose pucks in to the net.
I hope someone understanded what i meant. (From Finland so my English ain't so good 😅)
But i hope we get this thing fixed ASAP.
Hey, @CLX90
Holding L2 does not help in this case. That is for defenders in front of their own net. I really hope this gets addressed. It's incredibly frustrating.

Really? That seems kind of odd. Why would defenders want to mute their hitting in favor of shooting in front of their own net?
Actually, I need to clarify. I was a little wrong. Holding L2 doesn't help with that currently. This is from the 1.4.0 patch notes:
Community Feedback: Recent changes increased the chance of getting called for a penalty when Push Checking in front of the net. Defensemen want a way to clear the net, allowing for better defending in close proximity to the crease to prevent screens/deflections/tap ins.
The defending team can push check and knock down their opponent within [20ft] of the net with reduced risk of drawing an interference penalty.
However, multiple push checks within a short time frame, regardless of distance to net, can result in Cross Check penalty.
Apologies for the misinformation from me. That's what I was talking about.
We're absolutely aware of the interference penalties when attempting to shoot loose pucks in front of the net. Holding L2/LT in previous games negated this. Unfortunately, that's not the case currently. I would love to see this return.
