@andbern21 Ouch.
Interference calls have been wonky for years. My biggest issue is that there's too big of a window between when a player gets rid of the puck and when hits against them start getting called interference again. I results in way too many "legal" late hits. But I think the devs feel differently and it probably just comes down to a difference of opinion.
But then there's cases like the "hit" you posted that results in a penalty and it all seems ridiculously arbitrary.
This wasn't interference somehow. I apparently had a momentary brain glitch and just hit this guy as he gained the zone. He hadn't touched the puck since the faceoff. No penalty.
Here I clear the puck near the end of the period. I travel from the trapezoid around the boards to the hashmarks before I'm hit nearly two seconds after I dumped the puck. And the puck is all the way down the ice as well. Again, not interference.
